Aadhar card is used as an identification for availing the benefits provided by the government. This Adhara card can be used as identity and residential proof for availing passport, to open bank account, to get mobile phone connection, to get pension benefits to the poor, health benefits to the eligible.? An UIDAI (Unique Identification authority of India) is formed by Government of India is authorized to issue the brand name and the new logo of the ?Unique Identification Number (UID) namely the ?AADHAAR? cards. If you have downloaded the Aadhaar application for offline submission, you may require to attach these documents or certificates along with printed application form.
  3. The UIDAI has also started Aadhaar Enrollments at Post Offices in Andhra Pradesh.
  4. For applying for Aadhar cards identity proofs like Ration card, passport, PAN card, voter card, driving license, photo identity card, NREGS job card, photo identity card issued by a recognized educational institution, Bank ATM card, credit card with photo, Kissan Photo pass book, Address card issued by postal department and residence proof issued on the letter head of any gazetted officer can be submitted as an identity proof to obtain an Aadhar card.
  5. One must remember about aadhar card as Unique identity number is issued only once in the life of a person. Biometric details of children are updated for every five years till they reach the age of 15 years. Biometric details of physically challenged persons are taken as per the guidelines.
  6. Address and other personal details of a particular person can be updated if necessary. Details provided at the time of enrolment can also be changed if there is a mistake.
  7. Details of the applicants are sent to Central Identities Data Repository for de-duplicating and to allot a unique identity number.? Then the card is posted to the address mentioned in the application.
